What is the SFX Society?

The St. Francis Xavier Society enrolls committed individuals who, in the spirit of St. Francis, endorse an educational process that integrates the rigors of academic excellence with the light and guidance of divine faith.

The Society has been established as an organization that requires an annual membership fee of one thousand dollars or more. For younger alumni, the annual membership fee is less: $250 for alumni graduating 1 to 5 years ago and $500 for alumni graduating 6 to 10 years ago.

These gifts are used to fund our tuition grant program which pairs Society members with needy students. In addition, the Society has assisted with many other program enhancements since its foundation in 1991.

Purposes

Members of the St. Francis Xavier Society enable Mount Saint Joseph to carry out its mission as a Catholic school. Special objectives for the St. Francis Xavier Society are:

To fund the tuition assistance program which is assisting over 640 students who have demonstrated financial need. The average tuition assistance package per student is $6,200, however, packages can range from $1,000 to over $10,000.
To support special projects initiated by the school's administration for ongoing support to the academic program and equipment needs. Recently funded projects include:
- Refurbishment of wireless audio system for the theater program
- Installation of cameras to live stream athletic events
To support the ongoing operational costs of the school and to attract and retain quality faculty.

Four reserved seats to the fall and spring drama productions as well as the Christmas and spring concerts sponsored by the music department. Contact the Development Office to request tickets.
