This year’s honoree, chosen by the faculty and staff of the Mount, has been described by peers in the following ways:
A model of consistency.
Dedicated to the small, everyday moments of connection and support that leave a lasting impact.
A friendly, caring, and thoughtful person.
The definition of a Xaverian Educator.
A phenomenal role model for our young men.
Dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Guided by a strong sense of purpose and empathy.
Gives 110% and is present after school hours at many events.
The most kindhearted and patient person that I know.
One of our unsung heroes.
This year’s award winner has contributed to the life of the school in so many ways over the years:
As a science teacher, a football coach, a club moderator, a director.
A proud alumnus.
A proud father of a current MSJ student.
Whether he is helping our Admissions team with a multitude of interviews, cheering for his students at sporting events, assisting a student, teacher, or parent in need in the DePaul Center, or enjoying a day on the water with the Fishing Club, you can always count on him to put others first and do so with a smile on his face.
Congratulations to Mount Saint Joseph High School's 2024 Theodore James Ryken Award, Bryon Townshend '90.
